The contact form is hosted on our own server in Switzerland and does not use external CAPTCHA services or advertising trackers.

Our photo website is a private collection of photographs shared with family, friends and interested visitors.

Purpose of the database

Our privately maintained genealogy database covers primarily the following families and their related branches:

  • Koopmans

  • Schuitemaker

  • Spring

  • Rohner

The database contains family-history information compiled from publicly available records, historical archives, family documents, photographs and contributions from family members.

It is maintained exclusively for private genealogical and historical purposes and is not used commercially.

Protection of personal information

To protect personal privacy, information concerning the following persons is normally hidden from public visitors:

  • Living persons

  • Persons who died less than 10 years ago

The 10-year restriction is our own privacy policy and does not represent a statutory legal period.

The site owner, as database administrator, has access to the information necessary for maintaining and managing the genealogy records.

Registered users

Family members and other persons with a legitimate genealogical interest who are themselves included in the database may request a registered account.

For registered users, we store the information necessary to manage access, including:

  • user ID and name

  • email address

  • a link to the user's own genealogy record

  • technical account and authentication information

Registered users may be granted access to otherwise protected information about living relatives, normally limited to persons within five relationship steps of their own record.

Access is granted at the discretion of the site owner and may be restricted or withdrawn where necessary to protect the privacy of others.

Registered users are expected to respect the confidential nature of non-public information and not to republish or distribute it without appropriate justification and, where required, permission.
